Well, I joined Weight Watchers and had my first meeting on Friday, January 7th. I have 45 pounds to lose. It's overwhelming! They recommend that you set 5% goals so my goal is to lose 9 pounds by February 17th. I think this is very attainable. I have been doing very good with exercise and with eating this week. I had a little bit of a hard time since I celebrated my birthday on Sunday. I had to have a piece of cake since it was my birthday! I have walked Sunday and Monday. I'm going to try and get in a workout tonight if the kids cooperate! I'm excited about weighing in tomorrow. I will post the results!

I have decided to make a life change in my health for the new year. I thought by documenting my weight loss journey it would hold me accountable. I will be able to look back and see my progress and also I will be able to document good recipes or just accomplishments along the way. I have 3 girls, with my youngest daughter being born on October 19th, 2010. I have quite a bit of weight to lose from my pregnancy and from my second daughter that was born on January 30th, 2009. I had starting losing weight and then found out I was pregnant again. I lost 45 lbs after my first daughter was born, so I know that it can be done and that I. can. do. it!!!!! I want to be an example for my girls. I want to be healthy. I want to feel good about my self. I want my blood pressure to be normal. I honestly believe that feeling good about myself will have a trickling effect in various aspects of my life. It will improve my self esteem, my marriage and help me become a better mother and a better person. So here I go.....
